Texas Longhorns Players To Watch:
Offense: Wide Receiver – Quinn Ewers – Senior
Ewers had a great week last weekend against the Michigan defense as he went 24-36 with 246 yards and three touchdowns. That Michigan defense was talked about as one of the best in college football and Ewers picked it apart with ease. This week with UTSA they face a team that gave up an average of 255.5 yards a game through their first two games, look for Ewers to have a big day throwing the ball.
Defense: Defensive Back – Jaylon Guilbeau – Junior
Guilbeau is the team leader in total tackles through two weeks of the season and now as a key part of the secondary he faces a Roadrunners passing attack that averages 296 yards a game to start the season, look for him to be all over the field and even potentially force a turnover.
Bottom Line: Texas looks to go to 3-0
The Texas Longhorns are looking to go to 3-0 for the second consecutive season, and they riding momentum off of last week’s win. They will start their SEC schedule in two weeks so they need to focus on week to week before the schedule gets tough, as it happened last weekend, even head coach Steve Sarkisian addressed it any team can beat you at any time, he showed the team highlights from Northern Illinois upsetting Notre Dame. If Texas plays their game and protects the ball they will come out of this one 3-0.
