Michigan Players To Watch:

Offense: Running Back – Kalel Mullings – Senior

Oregon comes in as the 11th-ranked rush defense in the Big Ten, ironically that’s one of the strengths of this Michigan offense and Mullings is a big reason why. He averages 86.8 yards per game on 15.4 carries a game. He has struggled as of late averaging 51.3 yards per game in the last three, he had 18 yards against Michigan State. The Wolverines will need their running back to have a big game if they want to upset the number-one team in the country.

Defense: Defensive Back – Will Johnson – Junior

The Wolverines have been without Johnson for the last two games, and they will need him in a big way this weekend as they face Tez Johnson who averages 7.9 catches per game for 79.8 yards; he averages 10.1 yards per catch. Johnson is the star of this defense and if he plays he can potentially slow down Dillon Gabriel’s favorite target in the passing game.

Bottom Line: Upset

The Wolverines have not had the ideal season following winning the National Championship but with two big games left on the schedule, three if you count Indiana they can have a nice end to this disappointing season. A win on Saturday would also make Michigan bowl-eligible, while the likelihood of reaching to College Football Playoff is all but gone, beating Oregon this weekend and even Ohio State at the end of the season can be statements made for next season. This game won’t be easy but if the Wolverines’ defense steps up and the run game returns to form it can be done.
