
The Arizona Cardinals today agreed to sign second-round draft pick cornerback Will Johnson to a four-year deal. The Cardinals drafted Johnson 47th overall in the past draft. The 22-year-old defensive back attended Michigan. This past season in six games, he had 14 tackles, 12 solo and two assisted. He had two interceptions for 128 yards as both went for touchdowns. He also finished with three pass deflections.

Johnson went to Grosse Pointe South High School, played cornerback, wide receiver, and was a punt returner. In his senior season, he had 45 tackles, a sack, an interception, 12 pass breakups, and was an All-State selection. When on offense, he had 1,302 all-purpose yards. At receiver, he finished with 42 catches for 667 yards and six touchdowns. He was the top player in Michigan by 247 Sports and ESPN. In the 2022 high school recruiting class, he was ranked 15th overall in the country.
In his first season at Michigan, he played in 14 games, recording 27 combined tackles with 25 solo tackles and two assisted. He had three interceptions for 29 yards and three pass deflections. In 2023, he helped lead Michigan to the National Title. In 12 games, he had 27 total tackles with 20 of them solo and seven assisted. He had four interceptions for 80 yards and a touchdown. He had four pass deflections.
