Cooper Kupp is returning from a right high ankle sprain that he suffered in the 2022 season. This isn’t the first time Kupp has missed significant time, which can be challenging for any player to overcome, but Kupp sounds confident in his return.
“It feels good, that’s a long time [to be out]. I think the last time I [came back from such a long layoff] was basically coming off of the ACL [injury] in ’18 to ’19. Man, [it’s] great being back out here playing football again.”

The Rams had what would amount to a tragic season last year with a 5-12 record after losing not just Kupp but Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald. These are the same Rams who went to the Super Bowl in 2021. During that season, Kupp had 145 catches on 191 targets with 1,947 receiving yards, ultimately winning the Offensive Player of the Year.
The person most excited for the return of Cooper Kupp? Matthew Stafford.
“It’s great having him out here, it’s great having a lot of guys that kind of ended the season either banged up or had a little bit of an abbreviated season last year. So it’s nice to have him out here.”

For LA Rams fans, the return of Stafford and Kupp should be invigorating. Last season may have been a nightmare for the team, but the team is in a great position to have a massive rebound year. For anyone watching the first few days of practice, you should be feeling excited.
