Lions To Watch:
Offense: Quarterback – Jared Goff
This week is a great get-right game for Goff coming off a game in which he had five interceptions but he also threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns. The Jaguars rank 30th in the league against the pass. The Jacksonville pass defense has allowed 300+ yards to an opposing quarterback three times this season, they have looked better in recent weeks holding Jordan Love to 196 yards before he was injured, Jalen Hurts to 230 yards, and Sam Darnold to 241 yards. Look for Goff to bounce back this week.
Defense: Defensive End – Za’Darius Smith
The newest weapon on the Lions’ defense is expected to make his debut facing a Jaguars team that has allowed 23 sacks this season. Smith will look to bring pressure to whoever the Jaguars have under center and make life tough for a struggling Jacksonville offense.
Bottom Line: Lions Return Home
The Lions finished at two game road trip and four road games in five weeks going 4-0 on the road and 5-0 overall. Those four road games were also true tests facing Dallas who at the time looked tough, an unbeaten Minnesota, a division rival Green Bay, and a tough Houston team despite not playing their best game in some of those or losing a key piece they found a way to still come out on top, now they are home and will be for four of their next five games with some more tests coming up including Green Bay again and an AFC powerhouse in Buffalo but the first focus and handling the Jaguars this weekend.
