Lions To Watch:
Offense: Running Back – Jahmyr Gibbs
The Bears rush defense ranks 20th in the league and the Lions are fifth in the league in rushing which will benefit Detroit. Last season in the two games against Chicago Gibbs averaged 88.5 yards a game between rushing and receiving. Look for him to go off in this one.
Defense: Defensive End – Za’Darius Smith
The task this week on the defense will be containing Caleb Williams and not allowing him time to find one of his weapons on the outside. The Lions went out and got Smith for that exact reason after they lost Hutchinson for the season, now he needs to prove he can do it.
Bottom Line: Thanksgiving Tradition
The Lions haven’t won on Thanksgiving since 2016 when they beat the Minnesota Vikings 16-13. Since then they’ve played the Bears three times and were outscored 63-50. This isn’t the Lions team that has been out there the last eight seasons on Thanksgiving and this team wins in so many different ways and that’s expected again this year as well.
