College Football Top 10 Quaterbacks Entering 2025

The College Football season will kick off in just 17 days with Week 0 when Iowa State plays Kansas State in Dublin, Ireland. The following week is the big weekend when every team will start their season. As we get geared up for the 2025 season, we take a look at the top ten quarterbacks in the country entering the season. 

Top 10 College Football Quarterbacks for 2025

10.) Carson Beck – Miami

Beck is a transfer from Georgia, where in five seasons he played in 39 games with a completion percentage of 68, he had 7,912 yards with 58 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. He won back-to-back national titles with them in 2021 and 2022. Last season, he played in 13 games, completing 64.7% of his passes for 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns, with 12 interceptions. He will look to bring the success he had at Georgia and get Miami into the College Football Playoff.

9.) Kevin Jennings – SMU

Jennings has spent three seasons at SMU. He’s played in 26 career games with a completion percentage of 64.1, he has 4,068 yards with 29 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He has also rushed for 504 yards on 143 carries and six touchdowns. Last season, he played in 14 games, completing 65% of his passes for 3,245 yards and 23 touchdowns, with 11 interceptions. He will look to get SMU back into the College Football Playoff after making it last season as an 11 seed.

8.) John Mateer – Oklahoma

Mateer transferred from Washington State to Oklahoma. In three seasons with the Cougars, he appeared in 24 games with a completion percentage of 65.3, he had 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Last season, in 12 games, he had a 64.6 completion percentage with 29 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

7.) Sam Leavitt – Arizona State

Leavitt started at Michigan State, where in four games he had a 65.2 completion percentage with 139 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Last season, after transferring to Arizona State, he played in 13 games. Leavitt had a 61.7 completion percentage, throwing for 2,885 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions.

6.) Arch Manning – Texas

Manning takes over the reins at Texas this season. In his first two seasons, he played in 12 games, recording a 66.3 completion percentage with 969 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. In ten games last season, he had a 67.8 completion percentage with 939 yards and nine touchdowns and two interceptions.

5.) DJ Lagway – Florida

Lagway, in his freshman season last year, appeared in 12 games. He had a 59.9 completion percentage, throwing for 1,915 yards with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

4.) Garrett Nussmeier – LSU

Nussmeier, in four seasons at LSU, has played in 31 games with a completion percentage of 62.6. He’s thrown for 5,772 yards with 40 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. In 13 games last season, he had a 64.2 completion percentage, throwing for 4,052 yards with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

3.) LaNorris Sellers – South Carolina

Sellers in 15 career games at South Carolina has a 66 completion percentage with 2,620 yards, 20 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. In 12 games last season, he had a 65.6 completion percentage, throwing for 2,534 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

2.) Cade Klubnik – Clemson

Klubnik, in three seasons at Clemson, has played in 37 games. He has a 63.4 completion percentage with 7,180 yards, 57 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions. In 14 games last season, he had a 63.4 completion percentage, throwing for 3,639 yards with 36 touchdowns and six interceptions.

1.) Drew Allar – Penn State

Allar, in his first three seasons at Penn State, has played in 39 games. He has a 62.9 completion percentage, throwing for 6,302 yards, 53 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. In 16 games last season, he had a 66.5 completion percentage, 3,327 yards, 24 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He hopes to get Penn State back into the College Football Playoff after leading them to the Semifinals last season as a six seed.
