Longhorns To Watch:

Offense: Wide Receiver – Isaiah Bond – Junior

The Alabama transfer started off the season explosive and has since been quieted down recording an average of 29.8 yards a game over the last four games, he’s only made 2.5 catches a game over that span as well. This week he faces a Wildcats defense that ranks 15th in the SEC against the pass, this is the kind of game that can get him going again before a big showdown next weekend.

Defense: Defensive Back – Michael Taaffe – Junior

The 6-0 195lb defensive back faced a Kentucky offense that ranks ninth in yards per game in the SEC but third, in passing yards per game, he’s coming off a big week against another potent offense in Arkansas in which he had eight total tackles and a fumble recovery look for him to be all over the field trying to slow down the Wildcats.

Bottom Line: Texas Closing In On SEC Championship Game

The Longhorns have two more must-win games left if they want to make it to the SEC Championship Game in their first season in the conference. The Longhorns and the Aggies are the only one-loss teams in the conference and they face off next week while there are four other teams behind them with two losses waiting for one of those two if not both to slip up and open the door for them, Texas will need to stay composed and open up the offense and they should come away with a win and be ready for their showdown next Saturday night at College Station.
