The Baltimore Ravens beat the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, and the Colts never found an answer for the run. Baltimore averaged nearly 8 yards a play and finished with more than double Indianapolis' total offense.
Derrick Henry carried the touchdown load on the ground. The Ravens also controlled the clock, holding the ball for more than 35 minutes.
How It Happened
Indianapolis scored first when Jonathan Taylor went in from 1 yard out at 10:33 of the first quarter. Spencer Shrader's extra point failed.
Lamar Jackson answered with a 5-yard touchdown run at 8:20 to put Baltimore ahead. Henry followed with a 4-yard touchdown run at 4:05, and the Ravens never trailed again.
The second quarter broke the game open. Jackson hit Zay Flowers for a 54-yard touchdown at 6:54, and Henry ripped off a 32-yard touchdown run at 5:04.
Taylor answered with a 3-yard scoring run at 2:16. Tyler Loop then drilled a 57-yard field goal as time expired, sending Baltimore to the locker room with a commanding lead.
The third quarter produced just one score, a 58-yard field goal by Shrader at 7:55. Neither offense found the end zone in the period.
Henry closed the door early in the fourth with a 3-yard touchdown run at 12:46. Daniel Jones found Tyler Warren for a 9-yard score at 10:26, and Loop's 45-yard field goal at 4:09 set the final.

The passing game did its damage on fewer throws. Baltimore averaged more than 11 yards per attempt, while Indianapolis managed only about 4 and a half.
What It Means
Baltimore starts 1-0 with a road win, and the efficiency gap was lopsided: 506 total yards against 251. The Ravens did hurt themselves with 10 penalties for 86 yards and a lost fumble, but the offense moved too easily for it to matter.
Indianapolis falls to 0-1. The Colts were perfect in the red zone, going 3 for 3, but they reached it too rarely and converted just 3 of 10 third downs.
Turnovers tilted Baltimore's way as well. The Colts gave the ball away twice, on an interception and a lost fumble, against one giveaway for the Ravens.
