The Baltimore Ravens beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime Sunday night after rallying from a late deficit. Baltimore ran for 208 yards at nearly 6 yards a carry, while Atlanta scored a touchdown on only 1 of 3 red zone trips.

The Falcons led for most of the night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Baltimore answered with a tying drive in the final minute and a Tyler Huntley touchdown run in overtime.

How It Happened

Tyler Loop opened the scoring with a 21-yard field goal at 10:27 of the first quarter. Less than three minutes later, Jessie Bates III returned a Baltimore fumble 36 yards for a touchdown, giving Atlanta a 7-3 lead on the Ravens' only turnover of the night.

Loop hit from 51 yards midway through the second quarter. Michael Penix Jr. answered with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Pitts Sr. at 2:24, and Loop drilled another 51-yarder as the half expired to make it 14-9 Atlanta.

Nick Folk stretched the lead with a 23-yard field goal early in the third quarter. Huntley responded with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Derrick Henry, but the two-point pass failed and Atlanta held a 17-15 edge.

Folk added field goals of 34 and 48 yards in the fourth quarter, the second with 2:31 left, for a 23-15 lead. Huntley then found Devontez Walker for a 7-yard touchdown with 40 seconds remaining, and Henry ran in the two-point conversion to tie it at 23.

Overtime

Huntley finished it himself, plunging in from 1 yard out with 2:57 on the overtime clock. Loop's extra point made the final 30-23.

The overtime score capped a night where Baltimore controlled the ball for more than 35 minutes. The Ravens converted 8 of 15 third downs and turned 3 of 4 red zone trips into touchdowns.

Key Performers

Tyler Huntley, BAL: 2 passing TD (18 YDS to Derrick Henry, 7 YDS to Devontez Walker), 1 rushing TD (1 YD, OT)
Baltimore rushing: 35 ATT, 208 YDS, 5.9 per carry
Tyler Loop, BAL: 3 field goals (21, 51, 51 YDS), 1 extra point
Nick Folk, ATL: 3 field goals (23, 34, 48 YDS), 2 extra points
Jessie Bates III, ATL: 36-YD fumble return TD

Huntley accounted for all three Baltimore touchdowns, two through the air and the winner on the ground. Henry caught Baltimore's first touchdown in the third quarter and ran in the two-point try that forced overtime.

Atlanta actually threw for more, with 257 net passing yards to Baltimore's 183. But the Falcons ran for just 110 yards and managed 3 rushing first downs to Baltimore's 9, so the run game was clearly Baltimore's edge.

What It Means

Baltimore moves to 4-1 and is now 3-0 away from home. The Ravens are just 1-1 in their own building, so the road has been where this team looks most complete.

Atlanta falls to 2-3, and the home split is the story. The Falcons are 0-2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and 2-1 on the road, and Sunday was a home game they led late in the fourth quarter before losing in overtime.

Atlanta's defense produced a touchdown of its own, and the Falcons still came up short in their own building.
