The Buffalo Bills beat the Baltimore Ravens 36-10 at Highmark Stadium by keeping Baltimore's offense from doing almost anything. The Ravens averaged under 3 yards a play, turned it over 3 times and managed just 10 first downs.

Buffalo won the possession battle the hard way. The Bills converted only 4 of 14 third downs, but they went 4-for-5 on fourth down to keep drives alive. That kept the ball in Buffalo's hands for more than 37 minutes and kept Baltimore's offense on the sideline.

How It Happened

Josh Allen opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run at 10:10 of the first quarter. Tyler Bass followed with a 56-yard field goal to make it 10-0.

Baltimore answered late in the quarter when Derrick Henry punched in a 2-yard touchdown run, and Tyler Loop's kick cut the lead to 10-7. It was the closest the Ravens would get the rest of the day.

Bass took over the second quarter. He hit from 22 yards midway through the period, then drilled a 51-yarder with 9 seconds left to extend Buffalo's lead at halftime.

Loop's 26-yard field goal early in the third quarter pulled Baltimore within one score. Buffalo answered on the next scoring play, a 5-yard touchdown run by James Cook III that pushed the lead back to 23-10.

The fourth quarter belonged to Allen's arm. He found DJ Moore for an 11-yard touchdown, though the two-point pass failed. Allen then hit Dalton Kincaid from 23 yards out with just under 6 minutes left to finish it at 36-10.

Key Performers

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen: 1 rushing TD (1 YD), 2 passing TD (11 YDS to DJ Moore, 23 YDS to Dalton Kincaid)
Tyler Bass: 3 FG (56, 22, 51 YDS), 3 XP
Team passing: 21-34, 280 YDS

Baltimore Ravens

Derrick Henry: 2 YD rushing TD
Team passing: 12-26, 68 YDS, 4 sacks for 23 YDS lost
Team rushing: 19 ATT, 76 YDS

Allen accounted for 3 of Buffalo's 4 touchdowns and Bass supplied 12 points with his leg. The Bills' ground game was not explosive at under 4 yards a carry, but 41 rushing attempts did the job of draining the clock.

Baltimore's passing game was the real collapse. The Ravens completed fewer than half their throws, averaged about 2 yards per pass attempt and were sacked 4 times. You can't sustain drives that way, and Baltimore converted just 3 of 13 third downs.

What It Means

Buffalo improves to 6-1 and stays perfect on the road at 3-0, with a 3-1 mark at home. The Bills scored on 3 of 4 red-zone trips, and that finishing ability turned a sloppy afternoon of 10 penalties into a blowout.

Baltimore falls to 4-4. The Ravens lost 2 fumbles and threw an interception, and they came away with just one touchdown in three red-zone trips. An offense that produced 144 yards on 13 drives has a lot to fix before it can climb above .500.
