The Carolina Panthers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 25-14 at Lincoln Financial Field. Carolina won it up front, running for 126 yards while holding Philadelphia to just 35 on the ground.
Neither team turned the ball over, so this one came down to sustained offense. Carolina ran 74 plays to Philadelphia's 61 and held the ball for nearly 35 minutes. The Eagles managed under 4 yards per play and never found a way to stay on schedule.
How It Happened
Ryan Fitzgerald opened the scoring with a 47-yard field goal at 10:50 of the first quarter. That 3-0 lead held into the second, when Young found Tremble for a 12-yard touchdown at 8:08 to make it 10-0.
Philadelphia answered late in the half. Dameon Pierce ran in from 2 yards out at 2:42, and Jake Elliott's kick cut the deficit to 10-7 at the break.
Fitzgerald stretched the lead in the third with a 52-yard field goal at 11:32, making it 13-7. That was the only score of the quarter.
Carolina opened the fourth with a Chuba Hubbard 1-yard touchdown run at 13:34. The two-point pass failed, leaving it 19-7. Tanner McKee hit DeVonta Smith for a 19-yard score at 10:42 to pull the Eagles within 5.
Carolina closed it out with another Young-to-Tremble connection, this one from 19 yards at 6:33. Fitzgerald missed the extra point, but the 25-14 lead stood the rest of the way.

What It Means
Carolina moves to 3-2 and is 2-1 on the road. The Panthers overcame 13 penalties for 149 yards to get the win.
Philadelphia falls to 2-4 and 1-2 at home. A ground game that produced only 4 first downs left the Eagles leaning on the pass, and they averaged under 4 yards per attempt doing it.
The edge in this one was clear. Carolina outgained Philadelphia on the ground and through the air, and kept the Eagles' offense on the sideline for most of the afternoon.
