What Decides It
Philadelphia's offense has to produce points it has not produced in its last five games. The oldest two of those five losses were near misses at home, 20-24 and 17-19. They have turned lopsided since: 14-25, 21-38 and, most recently, 10-27 on the road.
The season numbers say the same thing. The Eagles average about 17 points and 285 yards a game, while the Giants usually allow about 320 yards. Philadelphia is gaining less than New York's defense typically gives up, and that is the Eagles' problem in a sentence.
The run game is the Eagles' opening, if they can use it. The Giants allow nearly 128 rushing yards a game, and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is on injured reserve. Philadelphia averages only about 88 on the ground, well short of what New York usually concedes.
Saquon Barkley has 274 yards and 2 touchdowns on 56 carries. The case for feeding him is the injury report: wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are both out, which leaves Tanner McKee with a thinner set of targets.
Malik Nabers draws a short-handed Eagles secondary. Philadelphia allows 244 passing yards a game, and cornerbacks Jonathan Jones and Michael Carter II are both out. The Giants throw for about 243 a game, so their passing attack matches up with what this defense has been giving away.
The risk is Jameis Winston's ball security: 7 touchdowns against 5 interceptions. New York's ground game is also banged up, with Cam Skattebo doubtful and Tyrone Tracy Jr. on injured reserve. Still, the Giants run for about 117 yards a game against an Eagles defense that allows nearly 132.

Prediction
The Eagles have not cleared 21 points in their last five games, and they are missing two receivers and two cornerbacks. The Giants have scored 27 or more in each of their last four games, and Nabers should find room against a depleted secondary. New York covers and the total stays under.
