The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27 on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium, and Chris Boswell's 33-yard field goal with 2:15 left was the winning score. Aaron Rodgers and Joe Burrow traded touchdown passes all afternoon, and the kicker had the last word.
Cincinnati moved the ball well. The Bengals averaged more than 6 yards a play, converted both fourth-down tries and threw no interceptions, but they lost 2 fumbles while Pittsburgh lost none.
How It Happened
Pittsburgh struck first at 13:10 of the first quarter when Rodgers found Roman Wilson for a 38-yard touchdown. Burrow answered at 5:50 with a 3-yard scoring pass to Ja'Marr Chase. Rodgers then hit Ben Skowronek from 23 yards with 52 seconds left in the quarter for a 14-7 lead.
The second quarter traded field goals. Evan McPherson made a 50-yarder, and Boswell answered from 44 to keep the Steelers in front. Burrow tied it with 34 seconds left in the half on a 28-yard touchdown to Tee Higgins.
McPherson's 38-yard field goal at 8:22 of the third quarter gave Cincinnati its first lead. Rodgers took it back at 2:43 with a 6-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf.
Burrow opened the fourth quarter with a 25-yard touchdown to Mike Gesicki at 13:29, putting the Bengals back ahead. Boswell tied it with a 36-yarder at 8:45, then won it with the 33-yarder. Cincinnati did not score again.

The quarterbacks cancelled each other out with 3 touchdown passes apiece. The separation came on the ground, where Pittsburgh ran for 6 yards a carry against fewer than 5 for Cincinnati. That helped the Steelers out-gain the Bengals.
Boswell turned that yardage into the result. Pittsburgh converted only 1 of 3 red-zone trips into a touchdown, but his 2 fourth-quarter kicks erased a deficit and then supplied the winning margin.
What It Means
Both teams leave Week 3 at 2-1. For Pittsburgh, the split is the story: the Steelers are 2-0 at home and 0-1 on the road. Sunday's home win came in a game the visitors led in the fourth quarter.
Cincinnati is 1-1 on the road and 1-0 at home. Possession was essentially even, and the Bengals were efficient through the air, completing 28 of 37 passes without an interception. The 2 lost fumbles stand out in a 3-point defeat.
The home-road gap is worth watching for both. Pittsburgh has yet to win away from home, and Cincinnati has yet to lose in its own stadium. Until those numbers move, each team's results look tied to where it plays.
