Lions Players To Watch:
Offense: Running Back – David Montgomery
In the Lions two wins Montgomery has combined to rush for 196 yards with two touchdowns which he averages 98 yards per game when the Lions win and a touchdown. In the loss he had 35 yards and a touchdown. In this matchup he faces 15th ranked rush defense. Montgomery ranks ninth in league in yards this season, lean on your workhorse for this one and the Lions can come out on top.
Defense: Defensive Back – Carlton Davis III
You could put any of the secondary as a player to watch as the Seahawks have three threats in their passing came in DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Davis will have the task of slowing down Metcalf who this season has averaged 87.3 yards per game and 15.4 yards per catch, if they can slow him down and force the ball to go somewhere else and make life difficult in the passing game the Lions can come away with a win. This passing defense will be a real test as they rank 19th in passing yards allowed per game while the Seahawks rank third in passing yards per game.
Bottom Line: Lions Look to Go To 3-1 Ahead of Bye
The Seattle Seahawks currently have one of the best pass defenses in football according to the stats but at the end of the day they’ve faced Bo Nix in his first career starts, Jacoby Brissett, and Skylar Thompson so not any big names now they face Jared Goff and this lethal Lions passing attack, so it’ll be their first real test to see if that passing game is legit. Look for the Lions to do exactly what they did in the two wins and play smash mouth football then letting Jared Goff sling it on play action to keep the defense off balance, I’d also expect a play action deep shot to Jameson Williams at some point in this game.
