College Football Top 10 Quaterbacks Entering 2024

The College Football season will kick off six weeks from tomorrow with Week 0 when Florida State plays Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland. The following week is the big weekend when every team will play so we get geared up for the 2024 season which will include an expanded playoff field from four to 12 who are the top ten quarterbacks in the country entering the season. 

10.) Cam Ward – Miami Hurricanes

Ward is a transfer from Washington State where in his first two seasons he played in 25 games with a completion percentage of 65.5, he had 6,968 yards with 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Last season he played in 12 games with a 66.6 completion percentage, 3,736 yards, and 25 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He will look to get Miami back on the map much like they were in the late 90s, early 2000s.

9.) Shedeur Sanders – Colorado Buffaloes

Sanders in his first season with the Buffaloes made 11 starts completing 69.3% of his yards for 3,230 yards. He has 27 touchdowns with three interceptions. He looks to lead Colorado to Conference Championship in their first season in the Big 12.

8.) Cameron Rising – Utah Utes

Rising is back for his fifth season after sitting out last season with an injury. In his first three seasons, he played in 27 games completing 64% of his passes for 5,572 yards with 46 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. In 2022 which was his last healthy season he played in 13 games with a 64.7 completion percentage, he had 26 touchdowns with eight interceptions leading the Utes to a 10-4 record, he will look to have another successful season in Utah’s first season in the Big 12.

7.) Jalon Daniels – Kansas Jayhawks

Daniels has Kansas football back on the map. This will be his fifth season after suffering an injury last season he returns. Over the first four seasons, he played in 25 games completing 63.6 of his passes for 4,297 yards with 31 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Last season despite only playing in three games he had a 74.7 completion percentage with 705 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. Kansas with Daniels at the helm has a chance to win the Big 12 title with Texas and Oklahoma now in the SEC.

6.) Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss Rebels

Dart will enter his fourth college season and his third at Ole Miss after transferring from USC. At USC his freshman season he played in six games completing 61.9% of his passes for 1,353 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions. He then transferred to Ole Miss playing in 26 games over two seasons completing 63.8% of his passes for 6,338 yards 43 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Last season in 13 games he completed 233 of his 358 attempts for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns and five interceptions. The SEC is loaded this season and Dart will go up against some talented defenses but he will look to lead the Rebels to the newly designed College Football Playoff.

5.) Noah Fifita – Arizona Wildcats

Fifita with being on the West Coast didn’t get as much recognition last year as he should have after leading Arizona to a 10-3 record with a bowl win over Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl where he threw for 354 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He finished 2023 playing in 12 games completing 241 of his 333 passes for 2,869 yards with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions. In his two seasons, he’s played in 15 games with a 71% completion percentage for 2,997 yards with 26 touchdowns and six interceptions.

4.) Jalen Milroe – Alabama Crimson Tide

Milroe goes the reigns of the Tide last season playing in 13 games completing 187 of his 284 passes for 2,834 yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions. Alabama would lose to the National Champion Michigan Wolverines in the Semifinals in overtime. Milroe is a threat not just through the air but also on the ground for the Crimson Tide.

3.) Carson Beck – Georgia Bulldogs

Beck will enter his fifth season with the Bulldogs, last season as a Junior he played in 14 games with a completion percentage of 72.4 for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns with six interceptions. In his 26-game career at Georgia, he completed 338 of his 475 yards with 4,427 yards with 30 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has the Bulldogs thinking National Championship, but it won’t be easy with a loaded SEC in 2024 but Beck is one of the top quarterbacks in the country.

2.) Dillon Gabriel – Oregon Ducks

Gabriel started his college career with the UCF Knights playing in 26 games completing 554 of his 913 passes for 8,037 yards with 70 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He then transferred to Oklahoma where he played in 24 games completing 496 of his 751 passes for 6,828 yards with 55 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Now he is at Oregon for his final season as he looks to lead the Ducks to a Big Ten title in their first season and a deep run in the expanded College Football Playoff.

1.) Quinn Ewers – Texas Longhorns

Ewers comes in at number one as he enters his Junior year at Texas. He started at Ohio State before transferring to Texas where he played in 22 games completing 444 of his 690 passes for 5,656 yards with 37 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He helped lead Texas back to the College Football Playoff last season as he played in 12 games completing 272 of his 394 passes for 3,479 yards with 22 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Longhorns would drop their semifinal game against the Washington Huskies but Ewers still played well as he went 24-43 for 318 yards and a touchdown; he had eight carries for 54 yards as well. Now Texas is a part of the SEC after winning the Big 12 title in their final season and he will look to lead the Longhorns to the National Championship in 2025.
