Texas Longhorns Players To Watch:
Offense: Quarterback – Arch Manning – Redshirt Freshman
Arch will be under center for this game as Ewers will be out trying to get healthy before SEC play begins. Manning looked great last week in his first full game after Ewers left the game, he finished 9-12 with 223 yards and four touchdowns but he also added a 67-yard touchdown. In week one he finished 5-6 for 95 yards with a touchdown. Look for Manning to air it out in this game and help lead Texas to a big win.
Defense: Linebacker – Anthony Hill Jr. – Sophomore
UL Monroe has the best rushing attack in the Sun Belt this season and Hill will have the task of keeping that in check. He was all over the field against UTSA as he recorded 11 total tackles with five of those being solo, look for him to hold the run game and force the Warhawks to throw the ball.
Bottom Line: Texas looks to go to 4-0
The Longhorns will wrap up their non-conference schedule this week before they get into SEC play. This team has looked dominant in every aspect of the game when they take the field and I’d expect that again this week, now you can’t also overlook this game and look ahead to Mississippi State, they need to handle business and Steve Sarkisian will keep them focused for this one.
