NCAA Week 6 Top 25

Week 3 in College Football saw some big changes in the rankings with a new team appearing at number one.

1.) Texas Longhorns (3-0) Last Week: 2

Week 3: Win over UTSA 56-7

Texas may just have the best quarterback room in the country, as Quinn Ewers went down Arch Manning came in and it looked like Texas didn’t miss a beat as he threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns as well as rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown.

2.) Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) Last Week: 1

Week 3: Win over Kentucky 13-12

Georgia started SEC play with a win but struggled against a Kentucky team that got blown out by South Carolina just a week prior.

3.) Ohio State Buckeyes (2-0) Last Week: 3

Week 3: Idle

The Buckeyes enjoyed a bye week early in the season.

4.) Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) Last Week: 4

Week 3: Win 42-10 over Wisconsin

Alabama looked like typical Alabama last week as the defense shut down Wisconsin and Jalen Milroe threw three touchdown passes as well as rushing for two more.

5.) Ole Miss Rebels (3-0) Last Week: 5

Week 3: Win over Wake Forest 40-6

Ole Miss has allowed only a nine-point total in the first three weeks of the season while their offense has scored a total of 168 points good for an average of 56 points a game. Jaxson Dart did throw his first interception of the season in the win

6.) Tennessee Volunteers (3-0) Last Week: 7

Week 3: Win over Kent State 71-00

Tennessee dominated again and put up 65 points in the first half as DaSean Bishop and Dylan Sampson rushed for a combined 221 yards and six touchdowns. Tennessee combined for 740 total yards of offense.

7.) Missouri Tigers (3-0) Last Week: 6

Week 3: Win over Boston College 27-21

Missouri had a tough test this past week and struggled early but figured things out late as they pulled out the win. Brady Cook and Luther Burden III had a great game as Cook threw for 264 yards and one touchdown as well as a rushing touchdown and Burden caught six passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.

8.) Miami Hurricanes (3-0) Last Week: 10

Week 3: Win over Ball State 62-0

Miami continues to dominate as their defense pitched a shutout. Cam Ward had a day as he threw for 346 yards and five touchdowns as he is looking to keep a potential Heisman season going.

9.) Oregon Ducks (3-0) Last Week: 9

Week 3: Win over Oregon State 49-14

Oregon finally looked like the Oregon everyone expected as Dillon Gabriel threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns, as well as rushing for a touchdown. Tez Johnson caught seven passes for 110 yards and Jordan James ran for 86 yards and two touchdowns as the offense combined for 546 yards.

10.) Penn State Nittany Lions (2-0) Last Week: 8

Week 3: Idle

Penn State was off this week after a game they struggled, hopefully, the offense worked on things so the team can look similar to how it did in week one.

11.) USC Trojans (2-0) Last Week: 11

Week 3: Idle

USC is going to enter one of their toughest games this season as they enter the Big House this week.

12.) Utah Utes (3-0) Last Week: 12

Week 3: Win over Baylor 23-12

Utah didn’t look right after the first 15 minutes but finally figured things out as they played without Cam Rising. Isaac Wilson got the start throwing for 239 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. Micah Bernard also broke through as he ran for 123 yards and a touchdown.

13.) Kansas State Wildcats (3-0) Last Week: 14

Week 3: Win over Arizona 31-7

Kansas State handled business and looked dominant on Friday night in a win over another ranked team in Arizona. Avery Johnson threw for 156 yards and ran for 110 yards.

14.) Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-0) Last Week: 13

Week 3: Win over Tulsa 45-10

Oklahoma State picked up a much-needed win as they get set for a tough next two weeks against ranked opponents. Alan Bowman threw for 396 yards with five touchdowns in the win.

15.) Oklahoma Sooners (3-0) Last Week: 15

Week 3: Win over Tulane 34-19

Oklahoma let Tulane hang around until the fourth quarter, they won’t be able to let that be a thing in their next matchup. Jackson Arnold combined for 266 total yards with a passing touchdown and two rushing touchdowns.

16.) LSU Tigers (2-1) Last Week: 16

Week 3: Win over South Carolina 36-33

LSU struggled against South Carolina but managed to score a late touchdown to secure the win.

17.) Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-1) Last Week: 18

Week 3: Loss to Purdue 66-7

Notre Dame bounced back in a big way with a trouncing of Purdue as they dominated on the ground rushing for 364 yards with Jeremiyah Love and Riley Leonard leading the way; Love had 109 yards and a touchdown while Leonard had 100 yards and three touchdowns, Notre Dame finished with six total touchdowns rushing.

18.) Michigan Wolverines (2-1) Last Week: 17

Week 3: Win over Arkansas State 28-18

Michigan has a problem at quarterback as Davis Warren was benched after he threw three interceptions. Thankfully the ground game saved Michigan as Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards combined for 235 yards and three touchdowns rushing; Mullings had 153 and two touchdowns while Edwards had 82 yards and a touchdown.

19.) Louisville Cardinals (2-0) Last Week: 19

Week 3: Idle

Louisville was off this week as they enter ACC play this week

20.) Iowa State Cyclones (2-0) Last Week: 21

Week 3: Idle

Iowa State enjoyed a bye week ahead of a non-conference matchup this weekend.

21.) Clemson Tigers (1-1) Last Week: 22

Week 3: Idle

Clemson was off following their bounce-back win over Appalachian State.

22.) Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-0) Last Week: 23

Week 3: Win over Northern Iowa 34-3

Nebraska dominated once again as Dylan Raiola threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns. They have a ranked matchup up next.

23.) Northern Illinois Huskies (2-0) Last Week: 25

Week 3: Idle

Northern Illinois got to enjoy their upset win over Notre Dame for an extra week.

24.) Illinois Fighting Illini (3-0) Last Week: NR

Week 3: Win over Central Michigan 30-9

Illinois continued to roll and had a win over a ranked team when they beat Kansas two weeks ago then on Saturday, they handled Central Michigan as Luke Altmyer threw for 242 yards with two touchdowns.

25.) Texas A&M (2-1) Last Week: NR

Week 3: Win over Florida 33-20

Texas A&M picked up a second straight win and got their conference schedule started with a win. Le’Veon Moss ran wild rushing for 110 yards.
